  In the interim, an alternate recommendation is the Coco Plum.  They have an onsite restaurant, Los Anclas, as well as a covered hammock/social area on their dock with a beautiful view.

If a hostel setting is more your choice, Captain Jack's, located in the heart of Portobelo is a very popular spot.  They have plenty of cold beer and a good menu, but also a short walk to any of the town's many mini-supers and restaurants.

There are two options for getting to Portobelo from Panama City. Portobelo is located in the Colon Province, in the northeastern region of the country. It is an approximate 1 to 1 and 1/2 hour drive from Tocumen Airport.

Depending on the size of your party, we can offer shuttle service from the airport with advance notice.
